My idea in writing this blog, is to aware you "especially students" to know, realize and protect their ""precious asset"".
In India, the word patent is not well understood by a common literate people; either he /she is a housewife, a business man, a government employee, a professor and finally a student.
Whereas in europe, US and other counteries it is well understood by a common man. They make asset not only in the form of gold, diamonds, ...........,................., but always give value and priority to their productive work i.e they protect each and every ideas, work which falls under the caterogry to be patented.
Do you know, from a survey made by idian patent office; Total Number of patent application filed in 5 years (2006-2011) by Indian universities (Including all Top ranked colleges eg IIT's) was
341 in number, whereas in US one university files over 300 patent applications.

Have you ever thought why this gap exists. There may be many questions coming in your mind; may be the US universities students are more intelligent
